System Change

  1. Class 1–5: English, Hindi, Maths, EVS + Values and Compassion
  2. Class 6–7: (English + Hindi + Regional Language) + one of { (Maths + Science), Social Science } + Values and Compassion (Intermediate) + Cumulative Knowledge
  3. Class 8–10: (English + Regional/Hindi) + one of { (Maths + Science), Social Science } + Values and Responsibility (Intermediate) + Cumulative Knowledge
  4. Class 11–12: Any 3 subjects of choice, project-based classes, internship (paid/unpaid through school) + Cumulative Knowledge

Common Education for All

All students will receive the same standard of education. Religious schooling (e.g., Madarsa and other religious schools) will not be considered a part of official schooling.


Examination and Evaluation

The current education system focuses on memorization rather than problem-solving through the correct approach. The new evaluation system will be approach-based, not formula-based.

To implement this:

  1. Students will be allowed to carry a self-written formula sheet. This will be submitted to the examiner before the exam and returned to the student during the test, attached to their answer sheet.
  2. Exam questions will emphasize approach over rote memory.
  3. If a student fails an exam, a retest can be conducted within one month. If they pass, they will be promoted to the next standard but will have to complete a project related to the subject they previously failed.

Classrooms-to-Labs Ratio

70% of school classrooms should be converted into labs, and only 30% should remain as traditional classrooms. This will ensure students spend most of their time exploring, experimenting, and nurturing their curiosity.



Definitions


Cumulative Knowledge

This subject will be a general class where basic knowledge of all other subjects will be give, because the nature of this education policy is to let students focus on practical-based knowledge of subjects they like, students must also have some idea about other fields. For example, a student with the subjects history, political science, and English should also know the basic outline of some physics phenomena, enough to what forces are making things happen around them.


Values and Compassion (Primary Level)

This subject will teach students to:

  1. Clean up after themselves.
  2. Respect nature and animals.
  3. Be kind to elders and each other.
  4. Maintain civic sense.

It will instil foundational values for a kind and sustainable society.


Values and Compassion (Intermediate Level)

Students will learn:

  1. How to coexist with animals.
  2. How to handle animal-related emergencies.
  3. Whom to contact for help.
  4. How to assist people in need.

Values and Responsibility (Advanced Level)

Students will be given responsibility for maintaining their school. They will learn to:

  1. Write letters and applications.
  2. Report issues (e.g., broken taps) to the principal or the appropriate authority.
  3. Propose solutions to prevent recurrence.

These tasks aim to develop:

  1. Responsibility toward the school and the nation.
  2. Real-world communication and civic engagement skills.

Tasks for Values and Responsibility (Advanced)

  1. 15 students – Tap maintenance and cleanliness.
  2. 15 students – Toilet inspection and maintenance.
  3. 3 students per class – Desk maintenance.
  4. 30 students – Hallway cleanliness and inspection.
  5. 15 students – Garden and assembly ground maintenance.

Students will perform daily checks of their responsibilities and contribute improvement ideas.



Laws Governing These Duties

If a student writes a letter to the school, a response must be given within 2 days, either:

  1. Detailing the action taken, or
  2. Explaining why action cannot be taken.
